Aurora
Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 on the 15th of June, 1996 in Stavanger) is the name of a Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015, and received great reviews from both music bloggers and the press. She has recorded several high-profile songs as covers, like Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the group Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole), which are widely loved. Katy Perry, who endorsed the track Runaway by her, gave it some more recognition. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes' first musical moment was when she stumbled across a miniature piano in her basement, and bewildered by the sound it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. He urged her not to play music only for pleasure or as a means of growth but rather, she should take it seriously. They encouraged her to compose. She has cited renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan for inspiration, as well as a love for Bjork's style. Her mother had told her the songs she composed might not make her famous however, but to encourage people to realize their own value and impact in the world, she began performing them publicly. When she was six She began playing the piano. At age nine, she, started writing songs. This was not known to her family until she reached the age of fourteen. It was never a dream to be Aurora. The only thing she loves is writing music. The songs she creates are the way that she feels any thing.
